There is no better time than now to document your family or just you and your love. What’s going on right here and right now – those are the most important moments of your life. Don’t wait until that special occasion or perfect moment to freeze time for just a little while. Not that I’m biased or anything, but everyone should have multiple shoots a year. When I was growing up, I distinctly remember constantly flipping through our family photo albums. Thankfully, my mom printed her photos and kept albums out and accessible for my snoopy self to go through. Those photos *all* weren’t from special occasions, they were just random moments of us kids being kids. In fact, my favorite photo of me ever taken was me sitting in a stroller glaring at my mom who was behind the camera. Now I know where my child gets that look from.
Speaking of kids, they’re beautifully and chaotically (that’s a word now) unpredictable. What we should expect is the unexpected. So, if this is Mom reading, don’t worry. Whenever my toddler sees a camera, he goes into meltdown anti-paparazzi mode, so I totally get if your kid (or husband) feels that way too. I have a pretty good eye in seeing the good in imperfect situations, so instead of that “sit still and smile” stuff, lets let your kids take the lead and show us what makes them the babies you love. I want to make sure that your images bring back memories of your family during that time.
For those of you who love, let’s focus on that. Kiss your baby’s forehead, gently caress your partner’s cheek, and tickle your goofy child. If you’re in love with someone, I will be in love with photographing that. Let’s talk about the things your family likes to do and our photo session will be about that. A family trip for some ice cream, a date night dancing while the sun sets, or maybe even hanging lights and ornaments on your tree. I’d like to help make your family session your own.
