Elle + Nate. A gorgeous summer wedding in Hawaii – I mean – at the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden. Might as well have been there with the beautiful plant scenery and the added touch of colorful lei necklaces for everyone. Intimate, colorful, and romantic. Surrounded by just the closest of their people followed by dinner and drinks. I love weddings with a small guest list and more time to focus on the private love between two people. Getting to third wheel with a couple while making pretty photos is my absolute favorite.

Engagement photos on a beautiful fall day in Downtown Chicago Illinois – honestly is anything better? My first time photographing a couple in the big city and hopefully not the last because I felt SO in my element. We started by Lincoln Park and walked around and ended up down by the water on the beach with a beautiful skyline view. OHHHMG. Allison + Adam are so sweet and are definitely pretty into each other ;) They knew all the fun places and gave me their own personal tour while I third wheeled with a camera. Basically how any date should go minus the third wheeling (haha I’m lame). Can’t wait to see what magic we come up with next July for their Iowa river wedding!
I highly highly recommend booking an engagement session with your wedding package – not only do you get more photos and have more memories, but we get a chance to actually work with each other and get to know each other on a more intimate level so when it’s your wedding day, it’s like hanging out with old friends.

A hot summer wedding in Iowa at Carper Winery with Breanna + Colin.
CONGRATS to the KRAMERS!! What an absolute delight it was to photograph their sweet summer wedding – lots of blush, greenery, and beautiful blue skies. Carper Vineyard and Winery is a gorgeous and open barn venue located in Norwalk Iowa – my favorite part about this place were the VIEWS (holy crap) and the loft inside with seating and a view over all of the dancing and mingling. The damn corona did not stop love with these two and their very best people surrounded them with the most laughter and genuine happiness I’ve seen. Also, when I say it was hot out, that’s no understatement 🥵 because everyone was melting. Thankful for The Outside Scoop – a freaking ICE CREAM TRUCK showed up and made everyone the happiest ever after.
